Media Konnect dedicates ‘Wasteland’, an original poem on the reality that’s wrecked the lives of millions today.
They scuffled out of the rubble hand in hand,
Their home, a vast wreckage left in dark sand,
The war was over now,
The bodies portified with blood,
Were dragged onto the streets
like an endless flood.
Victimized cried, lovers lost in time,
Untold, unknown, was it a crime?
To stand for your family, community or country,
And get slaughtered in a prison cell
till you are down and dirty.
They will rise again, we must move on,
broken from inside, but smiling as we all go on.
The aftermath of war,
a moment he can’t forget,
The LOC, a terror cell that he will regret.
I asked him before, I asked him once again,
What is the purpose of war in all,
if you end up losing yourself?
Ever since social media has established a platform for the masses, it has aimed to bridge the people closer together. But for most of the troubled borders of our nation, it has been an influential portal of mass genocide. Like the poem, most of the people who recruit themselves to terrorist cells are generally the youth who are trying to make an identity for themselves. But infused by media for terrorism, are we losing the identity of a future nation?
